Calls for illegal gathering in Deraz are old

Manama, July 14 (BNA): The General Director of Northern Governorate Police stated today that calls for an illegal gathering in Deraz that are currently circulating online are old and re-posting them amounts to spreading misinformation and potentially attempting to incite unrest. He said legal steps will be taken against any violation of the public order or hindrance of traffic flow to disrupt the peace. The General Director warned against responding to calls of incitement and reminded the public that Law 18 /1973 and its amendments on general meetings, rallies and gatherings allows for legal action against any person who participates in an unauthorised gathering with a jail term and a fine.
