Cabinet secretary-general receives fishermen

Manama, June 22 (BNA): Following directives from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Cabinet Dr. Yaser bin Essa Al-Nasser received a number of fishermen, who submitted a number of requirements to HRH the Prime Minister to facilitate some procedures and review them in order to support their work in fishing and develop their profession. The Secretary-General conveyed greetings from HRH the Prime Minister to the fishermen and his keen interest in the fishing sector. He affirmed that HRH the Prime Minister does not accept any harm caused to the fishermen due to any procedures of regulatory policies. He said that HRH the Prime Minister is keen on protecting the marine resources and wildlife, as they constitute the source of income and food for a large segment of the Bahraini people. The fishermen lauded HRH the Prime Minister’s support to the fishing sector, affirming that his constant directives to officials on fishing and the marine resources sector have eased fishermen's burdens and encouraged them to continue their work.
