The Cabinet Approves Proposal for Increasing Rent Allowance for the Low Income Beneficiaries

Doha, January 23 (QNA) - HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud chaired , presided over the weekly regular meeting of the cabinet which was held at its premises at the Emiri Diwan here on Wednesday. Following the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, stated the following: The cabinet has considered the topics tabled on the agenda as follows: First:Approving the social affairs ministry's proposal for increasing rent allowance for the low income beneficiaries when demolishing and rebuilding their popular houses they were handed over until the end of 1987. Approval of such a proposal comes to provide social care for the low income beneficiaries and helping them to secure their rent until their houses are rebuilt. Second: Approving the social affairs ministry's proposal to paying the difference between the value of popular housing for the beneficiaries to the former system and the current high loan set as per the provisions of law No.(2) of 2007 on housing system. Third: Approving the draft decision of the minister of municipality and urban planning concerning amending some provisions of the decision No.(37) of 2011 concerning the setting up of divisions at the administrative units the ministry of municipality and urban planning consists of and defining their functions. Fourth: Approving the draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in oil and gas field between Qatar's Ministry of Energy and Industry and Oman's Ministry of Oil and Gas. Fifth: Agreeing on a draft agreement on air services between the governments of Qatar and Ecuador. Sixth: Then the cabinet reviewed a letter of HE the Minister of Justice concerning the outcome of the 50th meeting of the executive office and the 28th session of the Arab Justice Ministers held in Cairo in Nov.2012 and took the relevant appropriate decision.
