Baghdad / NINA / - The British government affirmed its commitment to provide all forms of support to the Iraqi government, in a way that serves the achievement of local and regional peace and stability. A Foreign Ministry statement said: "Iraq's ambassador to London, Muhammad Jaafar al-Sadr, met the Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa James Cleverly at the headquarters of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development. During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom." The ambassador reviewed the latest developments in Iraq, especially with regard to efforts to form the new government, stressing: "Iraq's keenness to maintain and strengthen relations between the two countries in the interest of the two friendly peoples."
