Britain condemns terror blast, affirms longstanding relations

Manama, July 28 (BNA): The British Government today strongly condemned the criminal explosion which was perpetrated in Sitra, leaving two on-duty policemen dead and several others injured. British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Tobias Ellwood affirmed the UK’s longstanding relations with Bahrain, adding that the two countries are working closely to enhance security cooperation, tackle the terror threat and support Bahrain’s reform programme. In a statement to the press, he offered sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
