BRCS participates in voluntary work visualization meet

Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA): A delegation from Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), headed by membership affairs committee chairman, Salem Rajab, and youth affairs committee chairman, Ali Ahmed, participated in the first meeting of the work team assigned to compile a common visualization of the reality of voluntary work in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s red crescent societies, held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The meeting discussed the setting of a collective vision on the reality of voluntary work in GCC red crescent societies. The meeting also discussed a definitive joint programme to be adopted to reinvigorate and consolidate the concept of voluntary work in the GCC States as part of the global voluntary work. The meeting affirmed the effective role of the respective media and awareness committee in each of GCC red crescent societies to boost the coverage of voluntary activities through the relevant media and social communication webpages.
