Bishkek hosts international diversified business mission

Bishkek, June 12, 2022. / Kabar /. Bishkek is hosting an international diversified business mission of Russian companies in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov. In his welcoming speech, the head of the Cabinet indicated that foreign direct investment in 2021 amounted to more than KGS 1 billion and almost reached the pre-pandemic result. “Investments from the Russian Federation amounted to USD 145 million, which is a good indicator. However, this figure is much lower than with China and Turkey. I sincerely believe that today's mission will give an impetus to domestic companies and partners with the Russian Federation to establish cooperation in various fields,” he said. It should be noted that the event is held by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund together with the Russian Export Center in order to establish business contacts between manufacturers, investors and exporters from the Russian Federation and entrepreneurs from the Kyrgyz Republic. The event will discuss trade and economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic: priorities, drivers and new opportunities; cooperation in the energy sector; cooperation in the field of education. Export of Russian educational technologies to the Kyrgyz Republic; introduction of modern financial instruments in the markets of the two countries; opportunities for the development of Russian business in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic; agro-industrial complex, logistics, retail: points of growth for mutual development; modern digital solutions for business as the basis for the integration processes of the two economies. In addition, field meetings of partner companies are planned.
