Bishkek hosts action timed to World Blood Donor Day

Bishkek, June 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Today, a large-scale campaign is being held in Kyrgyz capital to collect donated blood, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the country reported. This year the slogan of World Blood Donor Day is as follows: “Blood donation is an act of solidarity. Donate and save lives." The Donor Day is held in Kyrgyzstan annually on June 14. This commemorative date was established to raise public awareness of the need for safe blood and blood components for transfusion; to note the most important contribution of volunteers who donate blood for free for the uninterrupted supply of blood components to healthcare organizations in the city; support the efforts of national blood services to strengthen and expand voluntary blood donation programs, the report said.
