BIPD chairman voices pride in Bahraini women

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi expressed the Bahraini's pride in the achievements of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. He affirmed BIPD's keen interest in women's participation in all its programmes, out of its faith in the Bahraini women active role in the society and the importance of integrating them in the national development plans, which comes within the framework of BIPD's vision. He pointed out that women's empowerment programme will prepare women for elections, through providing training programmes and consultations, adding that Bahraini women are qualified to participate in the legislative branch, as they have played a significant role role in the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Al Rumaihi expressed appreciation to the efforts exerted by the SCW since its establishment and highlighted the strategies initiated by the council, following the directives of HRH Princess Sabeeka.
