BIAS landmark event in international exhibition industry

Manama, Jan. 7 (BNA): Information and Parliament Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi said media preparations are in full swing for the 4th edition of Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) which is set to be held from January 21 to 23 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and direct supervision of Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Personal Representative and Head of the High organising committee. During an inspection visit to Sakhir Airbase to follow up on preparations for the international exhibition, the Information and Parliament Affairs Minister lauded the efforts of the Transportation and Telecommunication Ministry and the Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) to organise the fair in cooperation with Farnborough International and the relevant sub-committees. He pointed out a line-up of commercial and recreational activities, including conferences and symposiums. The Information and Parliament Affairs Minister was also briefed on the ongoing preparations at the state-of-the-art media centre to ensure full coverage of the international event by local, regional and international mass media. He underscored concerted national efforts, within the framework of partnership between the public and private sectors, to ensure success of BIAS 2016. He added the outstanding participation of civil and military aviation companies reflects the climate of security and stability in Bahrain and the kingdom's modern infrastructure, logistic equipment and vigorous economic, tourism and trade momentum.
