BDF contingent force reached King Khalid Military Base

Hafr Al-Batin, Feb. 17 (BNA): The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) contingent arrived this afternoon in the King Khalid Military Base in Hafr Al-Batin to the North of Saudi Arabia to take part, along with brotherly and friendly countries, in the North Thunder massive exercise. The BDF convoys entered the base to finalise combat and administrative readiness to participate in the land and air military drill, alongside other contingents representing the GCC states and the Arab, Islamic and friendly nations. The BDF combat contingent was received on arrival by King Khalid Military Base Reception Committee Chief Major-General Mohammed Hanash Al-Shehri. Codenamed "North Thunder", the massive drill aims to enhance joint planning operations between the armed forces of the participating countries. Scheduled to start today, the military exercise seeks to uplift combat readiness through a range of potential scenarios that simulate reality. The final phase of the "North Thunder" will start on the 26th of February and run until the 5th of March 2016.
