Bangkok's southern bus terminal resumes services

BANGKOK, November 23 (TNA) - Bangkok's southern bus terminal on Borom Ratchachonnanee Road resumed its normal services on Wednesday after a temporary relocation to a brewery compound on Rama II Road due to deep floodwater since October 31, with a low number of passengers initially. Staff of the southern bus terminal acknowledged that a number of passengers have been unaware that the terminal has resumed its normal operations, and that there are normally less inter-provincial travelling by passengers in November. Meanwhile, Thai Defence Minister General Yuthasak Sasiprapa, who is a member of a government panel and operational mechanism tasked with assisting and rehabilitating flood victims, chaired a meeting of an administrative committee for a supportive flood relief operations centre, in which Royal Thai Armed Forces commanders, as the committee's members, took part, to discuss post-flooding rehabilitation plans for affected areas.
