Bahraini youth participate in HYA

Manama, Aug. 23 (BNA): Four Bahraini students from Ethraa Youth Programme affiliated to al-Mebarrah Al Khalifiya Foundation participated in the "Exploratory Travel" programme in Jordan, as part of Al Hassan Youth Award (HYA)'s programmes, between July 24-29. The foundation's participation emanates from its keenness on keeping up with latest training and applications provided to students in the programme. Al Hassan Award involves the participation youth in the age group 14-24 years who join its four main programmes: services, skills, sports and exploratory expeditions. The award aims to encourage the spirit of adventure and exploration through group journeys, camping skills, map reading, compass, mountaineering, co-existence. The programme included field tours to antiquities in Jarash, Petra, Wadi Rum Desert and the Dead Sea.
