Bahraini women’ role hailed

Manama, Nov.30(BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan paid tribute to Bahrain’s women for their contribution to their country’s development and progress. He made the statement on the eve of the annual Bahraini Women’s Day, which falls on Saturday, corresponding to the 1st of December 2018. The 2018 edition is being held under the slogan “Women in the Legislative and Municipal Sectors”. Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President first launched the Bahraini Women’s Day in 2008. The annual celebration is a tribute to Bahraini women in recognition of their crucial role and [pivotal contribution to their country’s steady march of development and progress. The minister paid tribute to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa for for her role in empowering Bahraini women and engaging them in the national comprehensive development march. He extended congratulations to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, congratulating Bahraini women and society on this national occasion which celebrate women’s role as a full partner in national development and progress.
