Bahraini woman critically injured in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, May.5 (BNA): Bahrain Embassy in Saudi Arabia is closely following up the situation of a Bahraini family who had a tragic accident that took place on their way to Medina Munawara near Al Majma’h about 200 km North Riyadh on Friday evening. The embassy immediately sent a diplomat to the scene of the accident after receiving primary information to follow up the treatment of the critically injured Bahraini woman in the accident. Based on the medical report of a specialist doctor at the King Khalid University Hospital in Al Majma'ah , the embassy contacted the competent authorities of the Bahraini Ministry of Health and the Foreign Ministries of the two countries to secure Aeromedical evacuation plane to evacuate the injured Bahraini woman to Riyadh. Fortunately, her husband and child were both safe. The Embassy would like to clarify that the contacts are still underway with the competent Saudi authorities to arrange the medical evacuation of the injured to transfer her to a hospital in Riyadh in order to receive a better medical care. In the meantime, the embassy is in direct contact with the Foreign Ministry in Bahrain to find other possible alternatives.
