Bahraini-Russian investment cooperation underlined

Petersburg, Oct 14 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has stressed Bahrain's keenness to open up to new prospects of cooperation in economic and investment areas, and benefiting from international expertise. This came in the Capital Governor's speech delivered in the presence of members and President Vladimir Katinov of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) also Chairman of the Bahraini-Russian Business Council Khalid Al-Moayyad and the accompanying delegation. Capital Governor said that Bahrain's delegation's visit to St. Petersburg accentuates Bahrain's resolve to establish and develop economic activities in the interest of the two countries. The Russian side expressed desire to sign a memorandum of understanding with BCCI. Capital Governor underlined the facilities and incentives provided by Bahrain's government for foreign capitals, as well as Bahrain's stable and advanced legislative environment characterized by transparency and attractiveness. BCCI Chairman, in his speech, underscored the investment opportunities offered by Bahrain for foreign investors through the establishment of joint initiatives, activities and projects between Bahrain and Russia, which emphasize the desire of both countries to uplift bilateral trade relations.
