Bahraini-Japanese cultural cooperation reviewed

Manama, Jul 14 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa today received the Japanese Ambassador to Kingdom of Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asako. Ways of cultural cooperation and holding joint projects were discussed. BACA President stressed keenness to build bridges of communication between the Kingdom of Bahrain and friendly countries, praising the constructive cooperation between the two sides. Shaikha Mai briefed the Japanese Ambassador on the latest developments in Bahrain's cultural movement, Bahrain Summer Festival 2016 and other summer events. The ambassador presented an invitation to BACA President Shaikha Mai extended from Min-On Cultural Institution, Japan's largest private cultural institution, to host Bahraini artists and musicians next October and November to present artistic and musical performances to celebrate its 55th anniversary. BACA President welcomed the invitation and pointed the importance of the cultural exchange in promoting Bahrain's ancient civilization. The ambassador lauded the cultural activities staged by the BACA, commending the friendship relations between the two countries. He expressed interest in holding projects that meet the aspirations of both sides.
