Bahraini-Japanese cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 10. (BNA) -- Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received here today the newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Kiyoshi Asako.
The minister wished the ambassador every success in assuming his diplomatic duties.
They reviewed ways to consolidate bilateral relations in the fields of labour and vocational training, as well as coordination of positive stances at specialised international conferences and events. They also discussed promoting technical cooperation and exchange of successful experiences.
The Japanese Ambassador expressed delight for representing his country in the Kingdom, highlighting Bahrain's good reputation in international forums.
He asserted that Bahrain is one of the region's pioneering countries in the enactment of labour laws, which, he said, protects workers' legal and human rights and provide healthy work environment for them, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
