Bahraini, Italian cooperation discussed

Manama, Oct. 14 (BNA): Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received here today the Italian energy company (ENI) Vice President Lapo Pistelli and a number of senior officials, in the presence of Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) General Manager of Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Ghassan Ali Al-Muhanna and senior officials. The minister lauded the historical bilateral relations and economic, trade and industrial cooperation with Eni by benefitting of its experience at developing projects related to oil, gas, transformative industries and energy. They reviewed several issues related to industrial investments in oil, gas and energy sector, ways of boosting joint cooperation and achieving sustainable development goals and common strategic aspirations. Bapco gave a technical presentation on investment opportunities in oil exploration and several projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Eni delegation explored projects and programmes they implemented in oil and gas sector as well as Eni's practical experiences in exploring gas and oil. Eni delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister for discussing topics pertaining to the sector of oil, gas and energy, valuing the cooperation between Eni and National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and supporting the oil, gas and energy in both the countries. Eni is one of the international oil companies specialised in exploration and operates in several countries. It is the first global company to discover gas in large commercial quantities in Egypt during the current phase.
