Bahraini-Iraqi Joint Business Council hold first meeting

Manama, Nov. 26 (BNA): The Bahraini-Iraqi Joint Business Council has recently held its first meeting in Bait Al Tijjar. An agreement was signed by Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalid Almoayyadd from the Bahraini side, and from the Iraqi side Kareem Obaid head of the Iraqi side of the Bahraini-Iraqi joint business council. The meeting, which was also attended by the Iraqi ambassador to Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Ahmed Aldelaimi prepared the ground for heightened business relations and activities. In this regard, Al Moayyad welcomed the joined council and expressed the Chamber’s support to all endeavors that aim to spur the national economy and expand and fortify business relations with friendly countries stressing his confidence in the outcomes this union is to bring about. Both Head of the Bahraini side of the committee Khalaf Hujjair and his Iraqi counterpart Obaid underscored the council’s purposes and urged exchanging business delegations to encourage partnerships and explore and utilize lucrative opportunities. While expressing keenness to uplift the trade volume to its true potentials. It is worth mentioning that the meeting also deliberated about creating a joint website, streamlining the procedures for obtaining visas, and holding annual forum and exhibition, among other topics.
