Bahraini Delegation attends UAE President Cup

Manama, Feb 16 (BNA) -- A delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday attended the President Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The delegation which includes members of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), conveyed to the Emirati officials the greetings of his HM the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, BOC President and BREEF Honorary President, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and BREEF President, Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa. BOC Board of Directors member and Women Sports Committee Head, Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, BREEF Assistant General Secretary, Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, BREEF Media and Public Relations Committee Head Tawfeeq Al-Salehy and other dignitaries were part of the visiting delegation. The Bahraini delegation attended a press conference held in Abu Dhabi to announce organising Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies' World Championship (IFAHR), which will be held on March 13 and 14 in Rashid Equestrian Club and Bahrain International Endurance Village. In the President Cup competitions, rider Fares Al-Muhairi bagged the first spot, finishing at 5:55:40 hours at an average speed of 26.99 km/ hr. The competition saw the participation of 158 local, regional and international riders. Winners were awarded 10 brand new cars and 60, 000 UAE-Dh. Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa took part in the awarding ceremony.
