Bahrain welcomes decision to raise Palestinian flag at UN

Manama, Sept. 11 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the decision issued by the General Assembly of the United Nations to hoist the flag of the State of Palestine, in its capacity as an observer state, on UN headquarters. "The Ministry affirms that this historic decision is a positive and advanced step towards Palestinian people’s regain of legitimate rights, end of the Israeli occupation and establishment of the independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Quds as a state capital, in line with the Arab Peace Initiative, the two-state solution and on the basis of international legitimacy and relevant UN resolutions," the ministry said ina statement.
