Bahrain, Turkey discuss cooperation

Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): Health Minister Sadaq bin Abdul Karim Al-Shehabi received here today a Turkish delegation specialised in health care and hospitals’ affairs, in the presence of the Ministry’s Under-Secretary Dr. Aisha Bu Onq, to discuss the health services provided in Turkey and review joint cooperation in the areas of services and training.
The minister affirmed the keen interest of the Bahraini government and leadership on the provision and promotion of the best medical.
He said that expanding areas of cooperation and access to health services provided abroad focus primarily on providing therapeutic requirements and specialised services for patients according to the best standards, which can be achieved through strengthening cooperation, communicating with the global medical expertise and creating training opportunities for cadres according to the needs of the ministry.
The Turkish delegation gave a brief about the consulting and treatment services they provide in the field of health care affairs and how the health ministry can benefit from Turkey’s advanced health services.
The meeting addressed the importance of mutual cooperation in the medical and health fields like training, medical consultancy, laboratory tests and organ transplants as well as hosting senior Turkish consultants.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Primary Care and Public Health Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, Legal Consultant Osama Al-Ameer, Turkish Director of International Affairs Alan Soulaiman and Group Director Layla pamukcu.
