Bahrain, South Africa discuss economic relations

Manama, Mar 10 (BNA) – Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has held a meeting, with Riyadh-resident South African Ambassador to Bahrain, Mohammad Sadiq Jafaar, in the presence of Executive Director, Nabeel Abdulrahman, and a number of members. Means of strengthening investment between the two countries were discussed, as well as intensifying the exchange of visits of economic delegations to explore investment opportunities in both countries and advantages presented by Bahrain to pave the way for holding joint economic partnerships. BCCI Financial Secretary, Isa Al-Rifa'I, stressed the importance of activating economic and investment relations with South Africa and overcoming all obstacles that hinder the advancement of trade exchange between the two countries. He called on both private sectors to establish joint investments and economic partnerships. South African Ambassador called to seize the many investment opportunities available in both countries to boost intra-trade and the establishment of joint ventures. He pointed out the big boom experienced in many sectors there, including agricultural, food products and poultry. He underlined the South African Embassy's support for BCCI and Bahrain's private sector to contribute to strengthening bilateral economic and investment relations.
