Bahrain pilgrims unhurt

Manama, Sept. 11 (BNA): Bahrain pilgrims escaped unhurt when a crane used in the expansion of Makkah Grand Mosque collapsed yesterday, which left dozens of people dead and wounded.
Bahrain Hajj Delegation Chairman Shaikh Adnan Al-Qattan confirmed the safety of the Kingdom’s pilgrims after contacting all hajj contractors who reported no casualties.
Shaikh Adnan Al-Qattan said that the delegation opened its medical clinic at Al-Naseem district to attend to Bahrain patients round the clock.
He pointed out that 600 pilgrims and administrators registered with thirteen contractors arrived in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, in addition to a number of contractors’ administrators and workers in Makkah. Shaikh Adnan Al-Qattan said that batches of Bahrain pilgrims will continue heading to Saudi Arabia until September 17.
