Bahrain pilgrims doing well

Manama, Sep.21 (BNA): Health Sadoq bin Abdelkarim Al-Shehabi held a phone call with Bahrain Medical Committee Chairman Dr. Ali Baqqara and was reassured about the safety of the Kingdom’s pilgrims who are performing hajj in Saudi Arabia.
He urged Dr. Baqqara to provide best health services, stressing the need to take all precautionary and preventive measures so as to protect pilgrims frim infectious diseases, particularly Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV).
He extended his greetings to all medical staff, urging them to be always ready to support Bahrain pilgrims in performing their hajj rituals and return home safely.
Medical Committee Chairman Dr. Baqqra said that two clinics would be opened in Mina and Arafat to provide all medical and health services to Bahrain pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the clinic which was opened in Makkah on September 11 has so far treated 750 patients, most of who were suffered from normal flu, and referred 34 cases Al-Noor Hospital. He pointed out that no MERS-CoV had been reported among Bahrain pilgrims.
