Bahrain participates in CICA conference

Manama, Aug. 19 (BNA): Upon the directives of Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, the General Organisation of Youth and Sports (GOYS) participated in the first conference of CICA Youth Council which concluded its meetings in the Chinese capital, Beijing. The conference was addressed by the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, Cheng Guoping. The conference was hosted by the All-China Youth Federation with participation of delegations from CICA Council-member states. The ministry's delegation was headed by the Director of Youth Entities and Centres, Nawar Abdullah Al Muttawa', comprising membership of Deputy Chairman of Riada Youth Society, Saud Abdulaziz Al-Buainain. Several major topics were discussed in the area of youth welfare, empowerment and development programmes, workshops, the role of youth in peace and promoting relations between Asian countries in addition to successful experiences of Asian nations in youth welfare.
