Bahrain participates in APA plenary session

Phnom Penh, Dec. 11 (BNA): Bahraini parliamentary delegation concluded its participation in the Eighth plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held here in the Cambodian capital entitled "Promoting Peace, Reconciliation and Dialogue in Asia," on December 7-12. Head of the Bahraini Delegation MP Abbas Al-Madhi said that the closing session included the reports of the chairmen of standing committees, adoption of the agenda of the 8th Plenary Session and transfer of APA Presidency from Senate of Pakistan to the National Assembly of Kingdom of Cambodia. He affirmed that the participating countries agreed on a number of key decisions and that they require united efforts to strengthen the UN system to cope with current threats. Asian countries condemned the mass destruction, indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians in Syria and Iraq and the bombing mosques and places of worship by IS as well as well as Israel's continued settlements building. The Bahraini delegation comprised Fuad Ahmed Al-Hajji, MP Mohammed Ismail Al Amadi, MP Mohammad Ali Al-Khazai, MP Abdulaziz Hassan Abul and MP Ahmed Abdulwahed Qarata.
