Bahrain leadership congratulated on qualification

Manama, Jan. 28(BNA): His Majesty's Personal Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa deputised Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Chief to attend the final of the 17th Asian Handball Championship. The Qatari team defeated Bahrain 27 to 22 in the final match which was held this evening at the Khalifa Sport City. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on ranking second and qualifying to the World Men's Handball Championship in France. He extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. He also congratulated Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and the players on Bahrain's qualification to the World Men's Handball Championship in France , hailing the outstanding organisation. Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad presented the Qatari team with the trophy and gold medals. Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, son of HRH Crown Prince, presented the Bahraini players with silver medals. BOC secretary-general Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar also presented the Japanese team with the bronze medals.
