Bahrain leaders hail National Guard

Manama, Jan.6 (BNA): Bahrain leaders today saluted the National Guard marking the 19th anniversary of its establishment. They hailed the pivotal role of the National Guard, which serves, along with the Bahrain Defence Force and the Public Security, as a bulwark to defend Bahrain and protect its landmark achievements. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa exchanged cables of congratulations in this regard with National Guard Chief Lieutenant-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa on this occasion. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier also exchanged congratulatory cables with Lt-Gen Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The leadership commended the advanced level of the National Guard, hailing the combat readiness and training edge of its affiliates to answer the call of patriotic duty.
