Bahrain, Italy sign military cooperation agreement

Manama, Apr. 23 (BNA): Bahrain and Italy yesterday signed an agreement on military cooperation, in line with the outstanding relations and joints interests bonding the two friendly country. The agreement was signed during the visit of the Minister of Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Yussef bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma to Italy, in the presence of the Italian Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti. The agreement is in line with the directives of the leadership to consolidate the kingdom's relations at the Arab and international levels, and pave the way for developing and modernising the Bahraini Defence Force (BDF) and enhancing the capabilities and performance of its affiliates.
