Bahrain to host Joint FANA-OANA Meeting 2016

Kuala Lumpur, Feb. 14. (BNA) – The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) has participated in the 38th meeting of the Executive Board of the Organisation of the Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), which kick-started here today. Head of BNA's Research and Information Department Adel Abulla led BNA's delegation to the meeting, in which about 40 directors and CEO of OANA's member agencies took part. The meeting discussed a number of issues and challenges faced by OANA. The participants approved the kingdom's hosting of the joint meeting between OANA and the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) at the beginning of 2016. During OANA-FANA meeting, an agreement on bilateral cooperation will be signed. BNA also participated in the photo gallery held on the sidelines of the OANA's Executive Board meeting. The participants and visitors expressed admiration of BNA's photos depicting the progress and prosperity currently witnessed by the kingdom. It is to be noted that Manama hosted the first Joint FANA-OANA meeting on June 17, 2013. The meeting endorsed the kingdom's proposal to host the joint meeting every two years.
