"This is Bahrain", Hindu Temple sign agreement

Washington, Sep.27 (BNA): "This is Bahrain" signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hindu Temple of Metropolitan Washington to promote interfaith peace and exchange functions and visits. The deal was sealed as delegation representing "This is Bahrain" campaign paid a visit to the Washington-based temple as part of a tour including historic and religious venues. Led by Secretary General of the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) Betsy Mathieson, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Siva Subramanian and other key officials. They thanked the delegation for the opportunity to strengthen cultural exchanges and build a mutual partnership of amity, hailing its dedicated efforts to promote transcontinental interfaith and intercultural ties. Mathieson stressed the crucial role of such gatherings in renouncing religious extremism and fanaticism which may breed the scourge of terrorism. She highlighted Bahrain’s diverse and tolerant society, voicing the message of His Majesty King who advocates amity and peaceful co-existence between all religions and sects in the world.
