Bahrain-Finland relations discussed

Manama, May 6 (BNA): Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Finland's Economic Affairs Minister Jan Vapaavuori. The Deputy Premier lauded the growth of Bahraini-Finnish relations, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields. He welcomed the visit of the Finnish minister, alongside a delegation comprising officials, experts and businessmen. He said the visit is within the framework of the two countries' cooperation and constant interaction on ways to take advantage of each other's solid economic and investment base to boost bilateral cooperation. The Deputy Premier reiterated Bahrain's interest in consolidating the existing cooperation between the two countries, and broadening its areas. The Finnish Minister expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the kingdom for the cooperation of all sides with his country's delegation, which, he said, reflects the solid bilateral ties. He highlighted his country's desire to strengthen its relations with the kingdom and avail of its investment facilities and financial and banking services that motivate businessmen to launch joint investments that benefit the two friendly countries.
