Bahrain expresses solidarity with Saudi Arabia

Manama, Jan 6 (BNA): Bahrain's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Hamoud bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, in a statement to Saudi newspaper Okaz issued today, affirmed Bahrain's standing by Saudi Arabia in facing the cowardly Iranian attacks and continuous interference in the internal affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He said that Bahrain's decision on severing the diplomatic relations with Iran comes in response to the Iranian attacks and constant interference in the internal affairs of the GCC countries, which are in violation of international conventions and diplomatic norms. He noted Iran's insistence on supporting terrorism and training terrorist groups oriented towards destabilizing the region's security and stability, which explains its isolation from the international community. He called the Saudi decision on severing diplomatic relations with Iran as a firm stance and clear message to all countries and bodies supporting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations
