Bahrain attends UNESCO Youth Forum

Paris, Nov.13 (BNA): Bahrain took part in the 9th youth forum, which was organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on October 26-28. The event, which attracted more than 500 young participants from 159 countries, was held under the theme: "Young Global Citizens for a Sustainable Planet". Bahrain was represented by Mariam Abdulkarim Zaman, in the presence of Deputy Permanent Representative to the UNESCO Shaikha Wafa bint Abdalla Al-Khalifa. The delegations discussed key issues relating to climate change and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agency, which was announced recently. The UNESCO Youth Forum was first launched in 1999 to provide young people the opportunity to express their ideas and contribute to drawing up the UNESCO roadmap.
