Bahrain attends GCC, Korea meeting

New York, Oct.1 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, took part in the joint ministerial meetings between GCC states and the Republic of Korea on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York, where ties between the two sides were discussed and their progress in various fields, in addition to the means of bolstering relations and the mechanism to boost these ties to advanced stages for the benefit of the two sides and joint interests. Discussions also included issues of mutual interest on the agenda of the General Assembly meetings, developments in Syria and Yemen and the Palestinian case, in addition to joint cooperation to combat terrorism as well as in the fields of education, culture, commerce and health among others.
