Bahrain attends forum in Expo Milan

Milan, Aug.13 (BNA): Bahrain has attended a forum in Italy under the theme "Role of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in promoting sustainable development". Qatar organized on Wednesday the symposium under the patronage of the GCC General Secretariat, on the sidelines the sidelines of Milan Expo 2015. GCC General Secretariat Representative Dr. Ahmed Al-Dhebiban addressed the session, lauding the efforts of the Arabian Gulf countries to conserve the environment and develop food sectors. The symposium spotlighted the GCC states’ adopted food and environmental policies as well as water-conservation strategies. More than 140 countries are taking part in Milan Expo 2015, the current Universal Exposition, which opened on May and will run until October 31. Each of the participating countries will celebrate its National Day. Milan Expo 2015 organisers arranged for Bahrain to celebrate its national day on September 4.
