BACA president receives German ambassador

Manama, June 10 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received here today the outgoing German Ambassador to Bahrain Sabine Taufmann, who promoted the joint cooperation on the cultural level through a series of cultural and intellectual activities. Shaikha Mai affirmed the deep-rooted bilateral relations, adding that Bahrain aspires to enrich its cultural atmosphere through a number of projects, especially that Bahrain dedicates this year to heritage under the theme ‘Our Heritage, Our Wealth.’ She praised Taufmann's presence in the Bahraini cultural scene, which, she said, increased the cultural exchange opportunities, pointing out that the cultural cooperation between BACA and the Embassy of Germany promoted the rapprochement between the people of the two countries. The ambassador commended Bahrain's cultural achievement. She asserted that cultural and intellectual investments established an infrastructure for different cultural initiatives, expressing thanks for the joint cooperation over the past years.
