BACA celebrates Arabic Language Day

Manama, (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, alongside a number of Bahraini literary and cultural personalities celebrated the Arabic Language Day hosted by the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage.
In 1973 the United Nations General Assembly approved the Arabic language as an official language to be used in the United Nations following a proposal submitted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The BACA this year celebrated the event under the slogan (Arabic and the youth), which also coincides with the Bahrain’s celebrations of the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 47th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 19th Anniversary of HM the King's Accession to the Throne.
