Azerbaijan, UAE’s Masdar company sign several agreements on renewable energy sources

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15 Trend: The signing ceremony of four memorandums of understanding between Azerbaijan and UAE’s Masdar company on cooperation in renewable energy production was held in Baku, Trend’s correspondent reports from the press conference dedicated to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Garadagh solar power plant with a capacity of 230 megawatts. A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in integrated marine renewable energy was signed. The document was signed by Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev and CEO at Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi. Moreover, a memorandum of understanding in renewable energy sources and energy efficiency was signed. Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Hijran Valehov and CEO at Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi signed the memorandum. Executive director of the Azerbaijan Investment Company Ulvi Mansurov and CEO at Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi signed a memorandum of understanding in electricity production from municipal solid waste. Moreover, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in renewable and clean energy in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur economic regions was signed. The document was signed by the Director of the State Renewable Energy Agency under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy Tabriz Ammayev and CEO at Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi.
