Azerbaijan-France ties developing in all spheres

During the official visit to France, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of this country, Jean-Marc Ayrault, the press service of MFA said.
The sides discussed current state of and prospects for bilateral relations in political, economic, cultural and educational fields between Azerbaijan and France, as well as issues of regional cooperation developing rapidly in recent years, expressed satisfaction with the development of a positive and sustainable Azerbaijan-France relations in all spheres.
At the meeting, Elmar Mammadyarov briefed his interlocutor about the current state of negotiations towards the resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. They noted the importance of continuing the negotiation process for the early achievement of a political settlement of the conflict, the ministry said.
In this regard, Azerbaijani minister accepted the France proposal of a meeting of foreign ministers in the format of "3 + 2" in the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg on December 9.
Within the visit, Elmar Mammadyarov also met with Stefan Visconti, New French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.
