Azerbaijan’s First Lady and French minister of culture visit Museum of Modern Art in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku, March 9 / Trend / Today Azerbaijan`s First Lady, president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and the minister of culture and communication of France Frederick Mitterrand have visited the Museum of Modern Art here. The minister of culture and communication of France inspected the exposition of the Museum created at the initiative of Mehriban Aliyeva. The French guest was informed that the exposition includes best vanguard picturesque and sculptural products of the Azerbaijani masters from second half of XX century up to date. The Museum displays about 1000 works of artists and sculptors of Azerbaijan working, mainly, in vanguard style. Frederick Mitterrand has familiarized himself with the works by renowned artists of Azerbaijan Sattar Bahlulzade, Beyukaga Mirzazade, Elmira Shahtakhtinskaya, Tahir Salahov, Omar Eldarov, Nadir Abdurrahmanov and many other masters. A hall of the West European art displays works of classics artists as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Marc Chagall.
