Awqaf Ministry Concludes Campaign on Honoring Parents

Doha, December 25 (QNA) - The Department of Dawa and Guidance at the Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry has concluded a campaign on teaching the child to be respectful and dutiful to his parents. The campaign was launched in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Qatari schools. The campaign sought to instill in school students the values of honoring their parents and respect for the elderly, in addition to introducing the students to the importance of these values in Islam. Dawa and Guidance Assistant Director Hamad Al Muhana Al Marri said the campaign included workshops for students in schools on honoring their parents, in addition to lectures which briefed on the stature of the elderly and underlined the need to provide care for them physically and morally.
