An Awareness Campaign for New Doctors at Health Workers' Centers

Doha, May 28 (QNA) - An awareness campaign for the new doctors working at Health Workers' Centers,organized at Al Wafideen Health Centre by the Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking, (QFCHT), in cooperation with Qatar Red Crescent (QRC). Addressing the symposium, the acting Director of Resource Development Department and QRC Public Affairs Adviser, Adel Ali al-Baker, called on the institutions to take part in raising the awareness,educational and legal health to those who did not know their rights and to present them any possible assistance to preserve their rights and dignity. Director of QFCHTs Department of Research and Studies,Khalidah al Tubaikh, delivered Tuesday a speech in which she focussed on raising the awareness among doctors to identify the expected victims of the human trafficking as well as knowing the public and private indicators of the human trafficking on victims, calling for more examination of the status of these persons. She called on the doctors and the medical providers and workers at hospitals and health centers to coordinate and cooperate with each other when they doubt there is a cases of human trafficking . Director of QFCHTs Department of Research and Studies, noted that the doctors and the medical providers may represent a sole chance for a victim of human trafficking to save him from the suffering in addition to chase the criminal and they must communicate with the QFCHT,through its office at the Al Wafideen Health Centre or its hotline and other various channels of communication.
