Award reflects Kingdom's leading role

Manama, Aug. 19 (BNA): Arab voluntary work activists said HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award is a key annual Arab event for voluntary Arab societies and centres. The award derives its importance from the unlimited support of the Kingdom's leadership and people which consolidates the leading role of Bahrain in boosting voluntary work sector.
Egypt's Voluntary Work Society's delegation led by Thamir Wajeeh participates for the fifth time consecutively in the HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa for Voluntary Work Award. The society's chairman affirmed keenness on participation since the award has become one of the major voluntary Arab work events.
Wajeeh said the participation comes within the frame of continuous fruitful cooperation and coordination in all programmes and projects between the Egyptian Voluntary Work Society and its sisterly counterpart The Good Word Society in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the huge role undertaken by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa in boosting Arab voluntary work and community service, adding that the Egyptian Society has always been keen on enforcement of all the relevant parameters in the annual selection of the award-winning Egyptian personality.
Fehaid al-Tamimi the Advisor of the Arab Voluntary Work Federation said the HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award is one of the most important specialized Arab and international awards granted to personalities who provided outstanding services and left their mark locally or internationally and this stimulates voluntary workers to increase activities and events to boost voluntary movement in the Arab world, regionally and internationally. He expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain's leadership, government and people with special thanks to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali who has opened windows of hope to all volunteers through this award.
