Attempt to smuggle in suspected marijuana foil

Manama, Jan. 26(BNA): Customs officers have foiled the trafficking of 4789.44 grams of a substance suspected to be marijuana hidden inside wooden baskets. Air Ports Customs Director said that the shipment arrived by air cargo and it was searched in the presence of the Asian owner and the substance was found inside the baskets. The suspect and the substance were handed to the Directorate of Anti-narcotics for legal proceedings prior to referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
