Ashoora security preparations reviewed

Manama, Sept. 29 (BNA): Capital Governor Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa chaired here today the second security meeting for this year with the Deputy Public Security Chief Major-General Naji Fahd Al-Hashel and heads of Security centres at the Capital Police Directorate. The meeting focused on areas cooperation and coordination between the Capital Governorate and the security authorities and their common visions on ways to achieve the aspired for goals in serving the capital citizens. The governor affirmed that the Capital Governorate allocates utmost importance to enhancing coordination and cooperation with the security sides to ensure security for the Manama citizens and residents. Reviewing the security needs for the Ashoora season, he asserted the Governorate's support to all those in charge of the event, in cooperation and coordination with the relevant sides, in order to ensure the safety and security for all. The meeting also reviewed a report on the security needs of some regions in the Capital Governorate, and another on the "Capital Weekend" Programme, organised last year by the governorate for the aim of embracing youngsters and consolidating the communal partnership concept. The governor lauded the constant keenness of the Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa on issuing directives to all the ministry's bodies to exert all necessary efforts to maintain public security and order. The deputy Public Security Chief expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Capital Governor for his efforts to coordinate and cooperate with the Capital Police Directorate, which, he said, boosted the existing communal partnership, lauding the remarkable success of the "Capital Weekend" Programme.
