Arab Parliament Speaker Lauds Qatar's Support to Joint Arab Action

Cairo, April 20 (QNA) -Speaker of the Arab Parliament Ahmed Mohammed Al Jarwan, has highly lauded and appreciated Qatar's support to the joint Arab action on various issues , praising meantime the effective resolutions adopted during the 24th session of the Arab summit which was held recently in Doha, especially with regard to supporting the Palestinian cause and launching an initiative to set up Al Quds fund with one billion dollars'capital and Qatar's contribution of $ 250 Mn. in to support Al quds (Jerusalem). In press remarks he gave on the sidelines of the preparatory meetings for the third plenary session of the Arab Parliament, which begins tomorrow, "Sunday" at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, Al Jarwan added that the 24th arab summit also adopted other resolutions calling to activate joint work economically and socially, expressing the hope that the Doha summit resolutions would contribute to realizing the aspirations of the peoples of the countries of the region. Al-Jarwan said that the meeting of the Arab Parliament will discuss the decisions and topics discussed by the four committees of the Parliament, "Political and Social Affairs and Finance, Women and Youth" and the meetings of the Bureau of Parliament held over the past two days.(QNA)
