Arab League Delegation Meeting with US Side in Washington

Washington, April 29 (QNA) - The Arab League delegation and the US side at the end of the their meeting here on Monday issued in which they stated the following: The two delegations agreed that peace between Israelis and Palestinians / Palestine and Israel would advance security, prosperity and the stability in the middle east, which is a common interest for the region and the whole world . The US delegation underscored the Arab Leagues important role in advancing regional peace efforts. The Arab League delegation underscored that peace between the Palestinians and Israel is a strategic choice for the Arab states. They reaffirmed the Arab Peace Initiative as the basis for a just, lasting and comprehensive peace that would end the conflict in the Middle East and to maintain security and stability in the region. The Arab League delegation affirmed that any agreement should be based on the two-state solution, on the basis of the 4th of June 1967 lines with the possibility of minor, mutually agreed swaps of land, equal in both area and value. The US delegation reaffirmed its commitment to end the conflict on the basis the two state solution Palestine, Israel, living side by side in peace and security. The Arab League delegation expressed its appreciation for President Obamas continued engagement on Middle East peace, as well as it support for Secretary Kerrys efforts in this regard.
